PayPal has engaged Viewpoint for a diverse range of storytelling projects over the past five years. From small business profiles and explainer animations, to social shorts and PR engagements, this content all works to support PayPal’s mission of democratizing financial services regardless of background or economic standing.
We work directly with PayPal’s content strategy team to ensure key messaging is organically woven into each piece and collaborate with their agency of record to produce content that fits into global campaigns designed to attract new customers.
Authentic Brand Content. When we produce any brand content, we are seeking to build trust, credibility, and improve brand engagement by connecting with the audience on an emotional level.Â
In a series highlighting PayPal’s Empowerment Grants, we profiled African American entrepreneurs around the country who received grants from PayPal to help keep their businesses running during the pandemic.Â
Likewise, the Global Merchant Lending doc-style series displayed how this program allowed entrepreneurs and their small businesses to thrive. Viewership research clearly demonstrated that this series increased brand awareness and consideration of specific PayPal product solutions.Â

Internal Communications. Of course PayPal’s mission would not be achieved without the work of its roughly 30,000 employees. Certainly keeping an organization of that size in tune with the company’s mission is no small task. That is where we come in, to help ensure that all employees understand that at PayPal “it’s about a strong sense of mission, vision and purpose.”Â
We have developed numerous internal communications pieces, including corporate leadership presentations and investor relations animations, as well as videos highlighting HR initiatives. Viewpoint-produced content is frequently used to kick off global all-hands meetings, providing employees with inspiring examples of their products in action, or communicating the latest company updates.
Shoot Everywhere. Finally, with a global enterprise, it is essential for us to extend our content acquisition beyond our backyard. Tapping into Viewpoint’s extensive production network, we have directed shoots in markets across the country as well as overseas, collaborating with PayPal team members and customers around the world.Â
