FAST channels are popping up everywhere, and TV fans love them! They’re free to viewers, ad sponsored and available on every platform. They can mimic a traditional linear TV service or leverage a single series like VOD. They are the perfect way to feed fan hunger for your content on their terms.

The strategy behind developing the packaging for this channel is less about capturing new viewers and more about speaking to the passionate fans of the programming.  How do we keep the ‘air’ interesting and engaging in and around the content and advertising?

Here is a sampling of the deliverables created to  launch A&E’s popular “60 Days In” Fast Channel.

These spots are used on and off the FAST channel to announce that there is now a channel dedicated to passionate “60 Days In” fans. In addition to copy and editorial, new motion graphics have been developed, designed to reflect branding work done for A&E’s original run of the series.

2.  THEMATIC PROMOTION

These three spots are adapted from existing A&E promos, and use the updated graphic design, as well. Each is designed to play exclusively on the FAST channel, reminding fans what is so special about the “60 Days In” experience.

3. IDS

:05, :04, :03, :02 & :01

Like linear TV of the past, IDs remind linear viewers about what service they are watching. They also fill space, allowings shows to start on the hour or half hour.

4.   AD SLATE

“Ad Slates” are countdown spots that encourage viewers to stay put and stay tuned for the start of the next episode using intriguing, tailored content. Our custom countdowns feature interesting prison facts interwoven with ‘Unwritten Rules’ of prison life.

These exclusive content pieces are derived from existing ‘prison hacks’ created by A&E. Woven together with consistent motion design, they can only be seen on the “60 Days In” FAST channel.

6. SOCIAL

This engaging social piece features cliff-hanger moments from the series that will run on A&E’s ‘owned’ A&E Social platforms. This is the only piece of content we created that does not run on the fast channel itself.
